I live on this mattress! Great investment. **Q: is there an innerspring ?** A: There is no inner spring. The mattress is quite firm and supportive on it's own. We have had this mattress for over a year now. It's very comfortable. **Q: How long does it need to be out before someone can sleep on it?** A: Ours was free of odor and fully expanded within 36 hours. There was minimal observable odor even in the beginning. We use a simple down mattress topper on our foam mattress and it is heavenly sleep. Best mattress we've had in 52 years of marriage. **Q: So is this one all 3, soft, medium & firm? It has just the right amount of give for side sleeping (my shoulders get sore on a "hard" mattress), but it has an excellent base of firmness and support. Because of spine problems, I need to spend a fair amount of time in bed, either sitting or reclining, and I love the inch or so of "give" under the areas where put the most amount of weight, but still very really good support overall.
