I was personally unable to successfully re-key the Schlage-like keyway to match an OEM Schlage C keyway. A professional locksmith succeeded in re-keying the Kwikset-like keyway to match an OEM Kwikset 980 SmartKey deadbolt (using the Kwikset 980 as the new global key, and discarding the Ultraloq keys). If you contact Ultraloq customer service, they will send you a new cylinder (Schlage-like or Kwikset-like), which you can then bring to a professional locksmith along with your home's existing key. The locksmith's re-key will cost around $25. I recommend that you do not try to re-key yourself, because the Ultraloq cylinders are proprietary and don't match OEM dimensions. It can only be unlocked from inside and pretty much stays locked all the time except when both doors are needed to open. I also use these with roommates on one key locks on my balcony door just to feel safe. They also make a flushmount style that takes little more skill to install. I myself have found double doors can be pushed in if one of the door isn’t locked firmly in place. They aren’t expensive and pretty easy to install hardest part lining up the lock to latch.
