I'd been searching for a 120V line voltage detector for ages, but they were all over $50, and some as much as $160. Then I saw this beauty! Inexpensive! Easy to use! Compact! And again, a lifesaver! I had a large bundle of 120V Romex in the attic space. Unfortunately, determining which one to use was the issue, and there was no way I was going to spend hours and hours cutting little notches in them and test with my multimeter. So the bundle stayed left alone for quite some time. That was until I purchased this gem. I was able to determine the correct line in under 20 minutes! Now theres a 2-gang outlet which now runs the attic fan and LED light! Next was tracing wires in the garage walls. The previous owner had a small shop and added an additional fuse to the panel. He also added an additional run of outlets, but they were at different heights. As a few were up high, I couldn't tell if the wiring ran along the upper area of the wall or back down? I'm glad I had this tester! He did run a few outlet wires along the upper interior wall! If I hadn't checked, I would most certainly have cut them!
