Review: DAMN GOOD WATCH, but costly. - This is a watch that fills a lot of needs if you are a fitness junkie or someone trying to be a super Sapper. This watch has become my favorite watch I've ever owned and its well balanced between being a smartwatch and being like a digtal watch. There's a lot of pros and very little cons. Pros. *Its not flashy and keeps people from thinking it's an expensive watch. *Its damn good at using your GPS position for when you use the Garmin app for military rucks or basic 3 mile runs. *Its flashlight on it is nice for when you don't know one is and has a green light and strobe mode for if you were injured or in danger. *The Fitness part is a solid piece of it, the tracking for treadmills, Kayaking or even stair climbing are on point or close to it compared to apple, fit bit, or samsung. (Its off 0.04 compared to a Samsung watch which is around 0.14.) *High Durability and great battery life. Battery has last me 28 days on a single charge and had taken a hell've beating from being smacked on hmmves all day. CONS *The price is a little bit extreme for how limited some of the features. *Its charging cable is not in normal stores, meaning if it's lost or broken you have to wait a couple days for one to get shipped. *For some people this watch is way to simple.(Its why you actually buy the damn thing to be honest.) Meaning it can us NFC to use tap to pay. *It has green light instead of read light for light displine.(because it's an emergency strobe light color.) *Can use up it's battery if you don't turn of postion tracking, Fitness training, or stopwatch. Summary of it the Watch it's worth the money if it's on sale and it's complaint with AR 670-1 as well as the ability to use it in any AITs after basic. Highly recommend.
Review: READ THIS - My Apple Watch Series 7 battery began to last a crisp 13 hours, so I bought a Garmin. I bought the Forerunner 570 and really liked it. It looks sleek and is really light, which is awesome for running. However, it felt bland and I found myself not getting anything out of the advanced running features, so I switched to this watch. Long story short, I love it. There are things this watch lacks compared to the forerunner: older gen heart rate sensor, no skin temp sensor, can’t download music and pair to headphones, no speaker/mic, no touchscreen, no customizable notification settings (there is one vibration and one tone, and you can only choose for apps, texts, and calls; however this is not a problem because there is a workaround in IOS settings where you can turn off the Notification Center option for individual apps, and those apps will no longer buzz on your watch, only on your phone). What makes this watch so much cooler than the forerunner: the MIP display. It is genuinely so rad how it looks. It gives the watch character and sets it apart from the whole ‘strap a computer onto your wrist’ look. And by the way, the MIP looks 1000x times better in the sunlight than the AMOLED. It looks kinda like a kindle display. It is so clear in the sunlight it is shocking. The run tracking is in my opinion, just as good for my standards, though the Forerunner is objectively more accurate if you are a serious athlete looking to push your limits. The flashlight is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. The battery is life is epic. Still no maps, but you can track yourself and backtrack or save a location and later select it and it will use gps to guide you to it. Pretty expensive but hoping it’ll last. Safe to say I’m really impressed and do not see myself wanting a different watch in the near future. (If you got fenix type money than go for it but I certainly do not and think the instinct looks pretty darn cool)
