I do find the two ends to be difficult to separate, but I don't really have a fear of the button coming undone while wearing since it's so tight. The overall quality of these are a bit lacking as they don't feel heavy duty and seem more like a lightweight aluminum for the button part, and they clang and sound a bit tinny.
