My dogs love them both, the krill has added joint support, so for the same price, I go with Krill. I have compared ingredients and this brand, by far has what is required as other's do NOT. So I stick with this brand no matter what type. It simply depends on what you are looking for and I am always looking for relaiable omega ingredients and if it has joint support I am also happy. **Q: what is the difference between the krill oil and the salmon oil, other than the obvious (source), is one better than another?** A: I'm no expert, but this is what I have read. Krill oil provides a better variety of nutrients. First and foremost, krill oil contains essential fatty acids DHA and EPA, which your dog's body cannot produce on its own. Sure, fish oil provides EPA and DHA too, but Krill oil contains higher levels of EPA than fish oil. Krill also come from small crustaceans instead of fatty fish, so it's healthier. There's a lot of good info on the Internet to compare the two. I ordered these because my Jill seems to be developing some cognitive issues at the age of 13. She liked how they tasted, and they were chewed up quickly. So far she has only had them for 2 days, and they seem to help her calm down more as we head into the evening hours. Hopefully, they will continue to be effective. I will set up an auto delivery to help lower the cost if they keep working for her. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Saved our elderly dog’s life! *by on Reviewed in the United States 20 December 2022* These literally SAVED the life of our geriatric dachshund. He’s around 17 years old and was showing severe signs of dog dementia. He would randomly start howling and biting at everyone and everything near him and then start turning in circles, getting dizzy, and stumbling around. He was up all hours of the night. Seemed to be very depressed. We didn’t know what to do for him and thought the end might be near. I did some research and found these chews and decided to try them. After a few days of taking these chews, he was like a puppy again! The episodes completely stopped and he is just having a typical happy geriatric dog life.. and even seems to have more energy than before! She has been waking me up every 4 hours w/ awful anxiety. I gave her this for the first time last night and she slept for 8 hours straight. I did think it had melatonin in it but it does not. I ended up giving her 2.5mg of human melatonin.
