It talks about how people with collagen desease (artritis included) should not consume citrus. I purchased this book hoping it would explain more, but to my disappointment, this book is a copy and paste of the other book mentioned above and all the info/recipes include lemon, orange, etc. Very disappointed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Very Informative *by P***B on Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2014* I have RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) and was told by my rheumatologist that I might wind up with cancer if I didn't take the usual meds for my condition. I did some research long before I asked him what the side effects are from the meds. Possible serious infections and possible cancer, and that is what he told me when I asked about what the side effects to taking RA medications can be. I also own the "There is a cure for arthritis" book by Paavo Airola, between his book and this book I feel empowered. Now back "The Gerson Way" No doubt, it is a lot of work however, I do find it promising. It comes down to getting out of it what you put into it, I think it also depends on how bad your RA is also. The information on Max Gerson is out there and worth reading about. It should not come to anyone's surprise that the American medical association is all about the money. It is much more comprehensive, everything you need to know about the Gerson Therapy is explained in easy to follow language and gives you numerous case studies.I have read all the Gerson books and found this one "Healing Arthritis" not even close to the others. It lacks body and heart and a depth of spirit which the Gerson Therapy is famous for.My personal reason for reading about the Gerson Therapy is because I was diagnosed in my 20's with osteo arthritis and the need for hip replacements in my 30's. I have a strong belief in the bodies ability to heal itself and have studied and practiced alternative therapies since my 20's. I am now in my 40's with little pain, and still no hip replacements. I put this down to a plant based diet, coffee enemas, non-impact exercise and a stress free life style. Everything that any good health book on degenerative diseases will tell you.The Gerson Therapy is a very strict therapy and not for the faint hearted, but it offers a step by step plan to recovery from numerous diseases and gives the reader a much greater understanding into the cause of disease.
