How does this tint work to block the blue light vs a rose lense pair?** A: Thank you for your question. Typically blue light blocking glasses will have a yellow or amber colored lens. The deeper the yellow the higher % of blue light they block. Our glasses are designed to block approximately 30% of the blue light emitted from screens and devices. This is the perfect percentage for daytime wear. The deeper the yellow tint, the later in the day they are meant to be worn. A deeper yellow/amber color are perfect to put on when reading or watching tv at night right before bed. The blue light emitted from screens and devices is what disrupts our sleep pattern. We do not currently have a stronger blue light blocker, but you can find other brands here on Amazon that have the 100% blue light blocking lenses with the dark yellow/amber color. I expected a Purple-tinted striping on the frames based on the coloring in the picture online. The frames are instead 100% black in color, with a slight translucency, and the lenses have too much of a discoloring tint, which appears to give that purple coloring to the frame seen through the lens in the photograph.
