I purchased these to repair an extension cord that puppy dog chewed the end off (unplugged luckily). These ends also worked to replace the end of a fan cord. The ends are good for the price but certainly not the same quality as a single set that cost $12.00 a piece. **Q: Does this do a good job of sealing around the incoming power cord?** A: If you use the proper size cord **Q: Is this product made in Communist China? Or where?** A: Is there some other China that I am not aware of? **Q: Will this handle 1875 watts?** A: This device is rated at 15 amps which would be less than the required current for a load of 1875 watts (15.5+ amps). The safety code would require at least a 20 amp rated (plug) device. If the load is not continuous you might be able to get by with a low duty cycle, but that is exactly what burns down houses.
