Review: Just wow- must read. - 📚📘July Read: Redemption by Jack Jordan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5/5 I absolutely loved this one. When I finished the last page, I just sat there in awe. This was my first book by Jack Jordan, and it definitely won’t be my last. I’m in the US and saw several people I follow talking about it—but unfortunately, it wasn’t available anywhere here. Thankfully, I was able to order it from desertcart. ( thank you @jjjj) This story was an intense rollercoaster ride ( cat and mouse) that had me from the very first page. More than once, I felt a lump in my throat. Grief has a way of driving people to do things they will regret. I truly felt sorry for every single character in this book. I guess no one really knows what they would do in this situation. This story will make you question whether you believe in second chances—and whether serving your time truly earns you the right to one! This book has grief, second chances, revenge, lost soul, love and sadness. But totally worth the read!!! Quotes I loved: -“They talk of grief having stages. Denial. Anger. Bargaining. Depression. Acceptance.” -“What would our son think of us if he could see us now?” 📣Do your self a favor and get a copy!! 📒Story: ( desertcart book overview) Aaron Alexander has just been released from jail after serving 11 years for causing the death of Joshua Moore in a hit-and-run. Now a free man, all he wants to do is stay on the straight and narrow and leave his troubled past behind him. But for Joshua’s mother Evelyn, 11 years in jail isn’t nearly enough. Consumed by grief and rage, she has been waiting for Aaron’s release, counting down the days until she can exact the revenge he deserves. And now that time has come. However, as Evelyn and her husband Tobias embark on a road trip to track Aaron down, they soon find themselves caught on two different sides of a gripping game of cat-and-mouse. Because Tobias knows what Evelyn is planning, and he will do anything to save her from herself. Even if it means protecting the man who killed their son. Locked in a collision course set in motion 11 years ago, Aaron, Evelyn and Tobias are about to find out whether the road they have chosen leads to retribution . . . or redemption! 📣📣Highly Highly Recommended Review: Good transaction - Nice book .. came as expected

Another Winner!
REDEMPTION is a dark thriller by bestseller Jack Jordan. This action-packed thriller centers around love, loss, anger and revenge. His Standalone novels include: Anything for Her (2015) My Girl (2016) Before Her Eyes (2018) Night by Night (2019) Do No Harm (2022) Conviction (2023) Redemption (2024) This is my review of Redemption. “He Killed Her Son. Now She’s Out For Revenge.” Evelyn and husband Tobias Moore had waited years to have a baby, but now it was a reality. They had been married for three years and had lived together for six. Aaron Alexander, the man who was just twenty when he killed their son, Joshua, in a hit-and-run, when he was just nine years old. Aaron is now a free man at thirty-one after his early release from prison, after serving eleven years. Now all Aaron wants to do is to leave his troubled past behind him. But Joshua’s mother Evelyn, can never forget… Consumed by grief and rage, she has been waiting for Aaron’s release, to get her revenge. He must pay for what he did, and for that she must kill him. Evelyn waited one month after the release of Aaron before going after him…one month for him to realize the freedom he had lost. Evelyn and her husband Tobias start their road trip to track Aaron down, but Tobias does not agree with his wife’s plan to murder Aaron, and feels he must stop her, but is afraid of losing his wife. What a dilemma. Even if it means protecting the man who killed their son. Will the outcome be one of redemption . . . or retribution. This was a fast-paced dark thriller and one that you will not be able to put down. Another winner for this talented author! Many thanks to the author, Simon and Schuster UK and The Book Club Reviewer Request Group (FB) for my digital copy.

A genuine rollercoaster read
Well, need a wee lie down after this book! I've used the words 'rollercoaster ride' many times before, but this one flipped me in the air, looped several loops and left me gasping for breath. A parent seeking vengeance for a child's death isn't a new trope. However, the author takes it to a new — and gut-churning — level. How far is one person prepared to go in the search for justice? Once a loving couple and devoted parents to Joshua, Evelyn and Tobias are torn apart by the tragedy that leaves them broken and at polarised moral sides. Which side would you take? Is the young man responsible for your son's death a monster who needs to be taken down, or a victim of his own upbringing? So many noteworthy lines: Her glare cuts me open, rummaging around inside me for the truth. Hate I understand, but kindness still feels so new. I didn't push you away because I didn't love you, I pushed you away because I do. When his age and appearance are stripped away, he's nothing but a boy. A frightened, vulnerable little boy. Yes, there were times when I had to tie up my little bag of incredulity and dangle it somewhere. Would this really have happened? But, at the end of the day, I found the book powerful, deeply moving at times, and memorable. Highly recommended.

Read this book as part of Methley book club. It was my first book by this author. I loved it, it was a thought provoking, fast paced adventure. Great plot about revenge, love and loss. I think it would make a great film. Would recommend as a book to entertain you with lots of twists.

I found this book quite enjoyable but not my best reading experience. It started with a bang with an interesting premise that made me buy the book originally. The story was pretty fast paced and the main characters seemed realistic, their previous circumstances which had connected them, were plausible reasons for the emotions and actions that followed. Quite early on, things took a very dark turn in the tale and subsequent events just seemed to go from bad to worse, which to my mind make it quite a depressing read. In saying that, the circumstances of the story didn't lend themselves for it to be a fun read so I suppose some negative happenings were inevitable. There was drama aplenty and there were some exciting moments although I reckon there were a few situations that did stretch plausibility to the limit. The conclusion, when it was reached, was worthy and left me feeling better about the book generally. Worth a read.

What would you do? Your son is the victim of a hit and run and the culprit has served little over half his sentence before being released. Your partner wants revenge. Do you stop them or let them go through with it? Evelyn and Tobias’ relationship is on a precipice, it feels like they’re about to blow up their marriage. Evelyn is hell bent on revenge, Tobias can’t lose the woman he married. But whatever he does will destroy what they have. Evelyn’s chapters were hard to read; one in particular I sat with a grimace as she worked her way through a tool bag. She’s one helluva a character- such focus and drive! This is the most shocking book I’ve read from Jordan. He sent my hand to stop my audible gasps escaping. That said, I devoured Redemption in a day, in amongst my real life duties. I could not get enough of Jordan’s hard hitting moral dilemma. I don’t know how he’s going to top this but I think that with every book and each time he smashes it out the park!
