I use it to hang my outfits for the week and I stack the shoes on the lower rack. I use the hooks on the back to hang undergarments and I use the hooks on the front to hang jewelry and other accessories. This is a time saver in the mornings. When we go on vacation, the rack will help us not over pack. As for the other purpose - I roll the rack into the bathroom and hang a mirror on the hooks so I have both hands free while doing my hair. Another time saver. So glad I found this.
