I do not think this is possible.** A: The description does say it's a possibility...not that it guarantees that will happen. But yes, if the interior is enameled, it cannot release iron. In my pot, the bottom has two small rust areas so I don't think the enameling is done to perfection. **Q: Has anyone added a wistle to the tea pot? If so which one?** A: Sersiously.
