Review: Don't hesitate - this desk is genius. - Whoever designed this desk is a genius. I don't use that term lightly, it's just a masterclass in economical design and style. It's fiddly to put up and took about six hours (although I ended up enjoying the process), but once it's done this thing is amazing. I saw the other reviews and wondered if the desk would be as good as everyone claimed, but it really is. It's sturdy, fit for purpose even in an enclosed space (like with my study/man cave), and the storage space is ridiculous. So much of it! At this price, too, it's the desk bargain of the century. I absolutely love it and can highly recommend.

Whoever designed this desk is a genius. I don't use that term lightly, it's just a masterclass in economical design and style. Overall quality of the desk I'd say was pretty good. The instructions for assembly could have been a wee bit clearer. It is also very heavy so when I put mine together I intended to put the shelving unit against a wall with the desk part protruding into the room. Despite reading through the instruction before attempting to build I forgot about the support bars for the shelving unit. So after completing section R-3, I should have jumped to Section R-11 and fitted the cross bars before lifting the unit into place. Then go back to R-4. Even without this support the desk is still pretty stable. I would also recommend placing the large desk section on the floor, top down and building the underside, upside down as its a lot easer to alight the desk screws with the screw holes on the desk top. Despite the drawers being cloth covered particle board the functionality has been thought out, one even has a hanging file ability and all the drawers slide in and out very easily. Once you've finished the assembly I recommend a stiff drink a quiet room and a wee lie down, coz you'll need it :-)
