Installation is trivial ( unless you have a heavy steel door frame and a steel door, drilling which takes some elbow grease for the number of holes ). Much better than storm-door closers. Does not have a stopper to prop the door open.

**Q: Will this prevent a heavy door from slamming all the way open? Our door opens and swings all the way hitting the siding with any type of wind.**
A: It is adjustable for all types of winds except hurricanes, and for heavy doors, you can make it hard and soft as you want the adjustment, I recommend it.

**Q: Can this stop the door from opening beyond 90 degrees?**
A: I think the door can be opened up to 110 degrees

**Q: Does it help the door close slower as well? We have a heavy door and it slams. We are looking for something that helps close without slamming.**
A: Yes, the speed for closing and latching door can be adjusted, and won't make the door slam. It applies to the door weight between 45-60 kg (99lb-132lb), and if you need the door hold open, the door and jamb should be on the same plane or not on the same plane but within 5 cm. Thank you.

**Q: Can this opener be installed on the inside of a door that opens outward?**
A: I believe it can, you would have to mount the cylinder to the door

The Onarway Automatic Door Closer works okay overall. It’s not a top-of-the-line unit, so it performs about as expected for its category, with a few limitations depending on the door setup. Noise Level: When adjusted for a soft close, it is fairly quiet and smooth. However, if you increase the strength to fully close heavier doors, it can become quite loud and slam shut. Security: It does help keep doors closed, especially for light use and preventing kids from leaving doors open. However, on heavier or wind-affected doors, it sometimes struggles to fully latch without stronger settings. Appearance: The silver finish looks clean and modern. It blends in well with most residential doors and doesn’t stand out too much once installed. Ease of Use: Installation was straightforward, and the basic adjustments are easy enough to understand. However, there are limited tuning options, which makes dialing in the perfect close a bit frustrating. Weight: It works better on lighter doors or interior-use scenarios. On heavier exterior doors, it feels underpowered unless set to a more aggressive (and noisy) closing force. Durability: It seems decently built for the price, but I’m not sure how it will hold up long-term under heavier use or constant adjustments. Overall, it does what it’s supposed to do, especially for light-duty doors. I just wish it had more adjustment settings to better balance quiet operation with enough force to consistently close and latch exterior doors, especially in light wind.
