I.e not wushu in flexibility** A: I really do not know how to answer this. I am satisfied with the product & use it to train but do not do competition so do not know what is required there. It is flexible but not overly so for my purposes. Hope this helps. **Q: I practice Tai Chi and am considering buying this Jian. Is the sword sturdily made & feel good to use? Any problems with rattling or loose components?** A: I also practice Tai Chi sword and I've been pleased so far. No rattling or loose components, the wood handle and hand guard are smooth. The sheath was a little tight at first, however after I cleaned the blade with Camelia oil, the issue went away. It arrived well packaged and much sooner than what they said. **Q: How heavy is the sword without the sheath? I need a sword for Tai Chi sword form, and do not want a heavy sword.** A: I got this for tai chi and it was perfect. Not heavy.
