It took no time to put it together tho be sure the wheels are installed the right direction. There are 4 wheels -two big ones in the back and two in front of each of those. So, double sided, and each wheel turns independently and can turn at different speeds. This is what makes it so hypnotizing! The pattern is rarely symmetrical or has the same rotation speed. It's like WindTV :) If you want it shorter you can leave one of the rods out of it. The pole turns with the wind and the bottom has a 4-way stake post so it's very sturdy. The directions leave a lot to be desired. Make sure the disks are facing the right way ( they really don't turn well if you don't have it right, so you'll see) and the very last rod should have the curved, closed tip at the tip ( again, you'll see) Great gift and very unique! Scares the squirrels! MUhahaha! Review: Product works well, happy to have bought it. The stand could be a little sturdier, but seems sufficient. All 4 wheels turn easily.
