yes it does unlatch but i replaced with velcro. its bigger than i thought which is good I enjoy this pet cage

I was looking for a pink "pet" carrier for my son, as he had been using his real kitty's pink carrier to put some of his stuffed animals in that are "sick". After reading the reviews I decided to go for it as we have other Battat toys and I have been really impressed with them. Unfortunately the carrier seems a little fragile, we will have to see how it stands up to being carried all over by a 4 year old boy! The cat is teeny, tiny, but not a big deal because I mainly bought this for the carrier. The accessories are strange because they are almost bigger than the cat, but they are of decent quality. I figured the price was right for a gamble on a pink pet carrier for my son to carry his "sick pets" around in. I probably wouldn't recommend this as a gift.

My daughter wanted a pet carrier so bad and I told her this was on the smaller side, but she said to get it anyway. She loves it! She puts any of her smaller stuffed animals in it and it works great! Good quality

I let my 4-year-old pick out a cheap gift for doing helping me do some chores. She picked this out and was thrilled when she got it in one day. Absolutely worth the little cost.

The grandbaby loves it so money well spent
