Small and compact with very good sound. It is perfect to enjoy out in the garden or whilst painting or decorating. I am very impressed and amazed at how inexpensive it was. Postal service was excellent and arrived bang on time. Review: Good Radio - Really pleased with this dinky radio. Have tried a few different portables, last one being a Roberts which was dearer than the previous supermarket ones but really no better. All seem to have sound issues after a short while. This Sony is smaller & neater & seems excellent so far (about 3 months). The original batteries still going strong & uses AA which is good. Personally I listen to talking rather than music & the sound is fine for a small radio. Hopefully it will continue working well, I do feel more confident that I have bought a decent one at last! Recommended. ## Features - Handy compact size - LED tuning indicator - No Digital Broadcast - Number of Available Waves: 2 waves - World Receiver: No ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0002DDKZC | | Antenna Location | Music, Sports Broadcast | | Best Sellers Rank | 172,420 in Electronics & Photo ( See Top 100 in Electronics & Photo ) 714 in Portable AM/FM Radios | | Box Contents | Battery | | Brand | Sony | | Brand Name | Sony | | Colour | Black | | Compatible Devices | Headphone | | Connectivity technology | Auxiliary | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 312 Reviews | | Display Technology | LCD | | Display Type | LED | | Enclosure Material | Plastic | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04901780308613 | | Hardware Interface | Headphone | | Item Weight | 240 Grams | | Manufacturer | Sony | | Manufacturer Part Number | Sony ICF390 | | Model Number | Sony ICF390 | | Network Connectivity Technology | Auxiliary | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Product Features | Portable | | Radio Bands Supported | FM | | Special feature | Portable | | Style | Compact | | Style Name | Compact | | Tuner Type | AM/FM | | Tuner technology | AM/FM | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Sony - **Colour:** Black - **Connectivity technology:** Auxiliary - **Included components:** Battery - **Power source:** Battery Powered - **Radio bands supported:** FM - **Recommended uses for product:** Music, Sports Broadcast - **Special feature:** Portable - **Style:** Compact - **Tuner technology:** AM/FM ## Images ![Sony ICF 390 AM/FM Portable Radio - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61pr-jurXSL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does it fit headphones** A: Yes small stereo headphones that fit an iPod will fit this radio. **Q: Does it get radio world bbc** A: No! It has good reception, though there isn't much separation on the wavelength scale and I found it difficult to tune to specific stations. But if you are happy to just roll through the various broadcasts until you find something you like the sound of then this is perfect. I think it is good value and any shortcomings are down to the fact that the price is quite affordable. It's a handy little tranny for the kitchen, or if you need some entertainment on a picnic. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/70150601-sony-icf-390-am-fm-portable-radio](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/70150601-sony-icf-390-am-fm-portable-radio) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
