After being diagnosed with a basal cell lesion on the top of my head, I was told that I had to wear a hat whenever I was out in the sun. It has been known by everyone that I HATE hats, and being told to have to wear one is the pits. However, when this hat arrived I tried it on and was very pleased how lightweight it is. In fact, it almost feels like I'm not even wearing a hat at all. So I'm following my doctor's orders and being stylish at the same time.

Y’all, I LOVE this hat! I wore it EVERYDAY at the beach. I have red hair, freckles and fair skin. Skin cancer runs in my family so sun safety is important to us. Every year I buy a hat and then never wear it again. They either flop around too much or are uncomfortable or something. It’s always something. Maybe it’s me?! Lol! Anywho.. I’m picky. This is the first hat of MANY that I actually enjoyed wearing. It was light and comfortable and cute too! I loved the drawstring feature. I was able to secure the hat tightly against my head before heading into the ocean. It got wet and beat down from the waves but didn’t get lost! Lol! And because of its material, it dried quickly! Love this little hat and will most likely order it in other colors to match more suits.

I'm old and bald, so I need to protect my scalp where I used to have really nice, thick blond hair to do that. These days I have a collection of hats. This seems like a pretty good hat for hiking, fishing, rafting or gardening. Great price and seems well made. Updated, I just got back from a 6 day/5 night rafting trip down the Yampa river, into the Green river. This hat was an essential part of my kit. It kept the sun off of my face, kept the rain out of my eyes and several times was dunked in the river to keep me cool when the sun was blazing. Although it might be a little dirtier, it shows no signs of wear and all the the stitching still looks tight. I'm happy with my purchase.

I hike, backpack and bird, so I have a lot of breathable brimmed crushable hats, but wanted one in black. Since getting this one, it's all I wear. It's brim is a bit wider and the crown a bit lower, which I like. Have gotten complements from friends.Oh, and the venting mesh is high on the crown, which keeps my head cooler. Thanks!

Very disappointed!! The metal vents and buttons are rusting after 5 days at the beach. The rusty color is already bleeding into the fabric. So this hat is not at all designed and made to actually be used outdoors. Hat already starting to look old and dingy. Who wants to wear a rusty hat when you are at a nice resort.

Let me begin this review by stating that I have a surprisingly large head. No one believes it's as large as it is, yet my head doesn't fit in most women's hats - or men's hats, for that matter.Purchasing hats is an ordeal for me, and one that I rarely put myself through, but here we are. I needed a sun hat for a beach trip, and this one promised to fit.And fit it does. Yes, it's a little snug, and sure, the hat doesn't seem quite as deep as it looks in the photos. But it sits on my head comfortably, is lightweight, and probably won't give me a headache after 10 minutes.This hat is hereby big head approved.

Fits perfect, and keeps me cool. (Temp wise of course, you're still going to look like a big dork in it, lol)
