The headphones are lightweight, not tight on the head or the ears, and the sound is smooth and full with no adjustment to phone's eq settings. There's enough bass to drive Storm by Otyken and enough full-spectrum detail to make any Melanie De Biasio tune just melt you into the couch. 2012 remix of Take a Pebble by ELP will give you a full spectrum experience with maybe just a tad too much edge on the high end, but overall tremendous. Balance is fine, no issues noted. Power of my phone is more than adequate to drive these. Did a lot of cruising on Youtube looking for wired headphones (#1 to cut cost and #2 to increase fidelity over BT) and these stack up really well with the Sennheiser 600 series in most reviews. The soundstage is more than acceptable and songs like Take Five highlight it well. But the cost was still up there for me to justify (msrp $265, usual selling price $180). When they went on sale this week, I took a chance. I am NOT an audiophile, but I know what I like. Don't expect any sound cancelling. Phone calls come in crystal clear. Cord is a bit long and proprietary, but that's better than too short and proprietary. Packaging is pedestrian but I couldn't care any less about the aesthetics of the box they came in. I'm not a gamer. For me, these are strictly for kicking back and listening to music and Sennheiser came through in my opinion. Review: What I'd Expect From Sennheiser - These headphones are well made, comfortable and reproduce a good range of sound accurately. The foam rings fit completely and comfortably over my large ears, which was a concern when I was considering this purchase. The cups are clearly marked L and R. The weight is moderate for OTE headphones. The pressure between the cups is enough to keep them seated on your head without causing a pressure headache. The sound is very good. The bass response will NOT blow you away, but it's adequate. I use these for watching movies and listening to MP3 files late at night and to plug into my guitar amp when practicing (a MUST in an apartment complex with paper-thin walls). The jack adapter is a GREAT feature. I've used a lot of OTE headphones over the years, some quite expensive and others, not so much. I'd rate these near the top of the ones I've used. They're a decent value. I'm pleased with this purchase. ## Features - Exceptional HD Sound: These headphones wired over ear have an advanced laminate diaphragm that delivers crisp highs, clear mids, and controlled bass for an immersive listening experience; great for listening to music and as gaming headphones - Spacious Open-Back Design: The Sennheiser open back headphones provide a natural, airy soundstage ideal for music, work, and as a gaming headset - Audiophile-Quality Clarity: Transparent audio on these corded headphones ensures every note is captured, perfect for acoustic, classical music, and audio listening - All-Day Comfort: The music headphones have a lightweight headband with reduced clamping force and plush velour ear pads for extended music listening sessions - Durable & Versatile: The over ear headphones wired version are made with premium materials and a 1.8-meter cable with 3.5mm plug allow for long-lasting, flexible use and provide an immersive audio experience - Accessory Ready: The wired over ear headphones includes a drawstring bag and is compatible with all HD 500 series cables and accessories - Designed for Versatility: Perfect over the ear headphones for home listening, professional audio work, and gaming with exceptional clarity and comfort ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0DSK2MB15 | | Additional Features | Open-back Design for Spatial Sound | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Antenna Location | Gaming | | Audio Driver Type | Dynamic Driver | | Best Sellers Rank | #10,690 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #402 in Over-Ear Headphones | | Brand | Sennheiser | | Brand Name | Sennheiser | | Built-In Media | 1.80 m cable with 3.5 mm jack plug, 3.5 to 6.35 mm screw-on jack adapter, Drawstring bag, HD 505 Copper Edition, Safety guide | | Carrying Case Color | transparent | | Color | Copper | | Compatible Devices | Laptops, Mobile Devices, Stereo Systems | | Connectivity Technology | Wired | | Control Method | Remote | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 152 Reviews | | Ear Placement | Over Ear | | Earpiece Shape | Over Ear | | Enclosure Material | Plastic | | Form Factor | Over Ear | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00810091273562, 04260752333474 | | Hardware Interface | 3.5mm Audio | | Headphone Folding Features | Over Ear | | Headphone Jack | 3.5 mm Jack | | Headphones Ear Placement | Over Ear | | Headphones Jack | 3.5 mm Jack | | Input-Device Interface | Audio jack | | Item Weight | 558 g | | Manufacturer | Sennheiser | | Mfr Part Number | HD 505 | | Model Name | HD 505 Copper Edition | | Model Number | HD 505 | | Noise Control | None | | Noise Control Features | sound insulation | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Specific Uses For Product | Game, Music, Professional | | Style Name | HD 505 | | UPC | 810091273562 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 2 Year Manufacturer | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Sennheiser - **Color:** Copper - **Ear Placement:** Over Ear - **Form Factor:** Over Ear - **Noise Control:** None ## Images ![HD 505 Wired Open-Back Audiophile Headphones - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71pII7b6SVL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tremendous for the price (on sale) *by Z***Z on June 28, 2026* Phone doesn't have an audio jack so I paired these with the Linsoul Kiwi Ears AD1 Type-C to 3.5mm Female Headphone DAC Adapter Cable and am extremely happy with the results. They are mostly made of plastic, however they don't feel cheap at all. What shocks you the most is how lightweight they are, and are extremely comfortable, both on the headband (has cushioning) and the pressure on around the earlobes (or the lack of thereof), the velour earpads are soft and breathable. I was initially going to get the HD560s ones, but boy I'm glad I spend a little bit more. The sound is amazing and spacious. Compared to what I hear about the HD560s, its less piercing/shouty. It super detailed and analytical. Amazing upgrade and I'm using them with Sennheiser's own gaming DAC GSX 1000. Using them mainly for gaming. I can pinpoint enemy positions all day long, and its great for single player story games too. With the DAC's 7.1 surround mode (best out there) its truly a Hi-Fi cinematic experience. Bass is good enough for me, they are not a bass cannon, so if that is important for you, you may not like them, but if you are here, looking for an open back pair of cans, you know what you are getting already... Finally, I love the copper color/accents, they look nice too! ## Frequently Bought Together - Sennheiser HD 505 Headphones, Wired, Over-Ear, with Transparent Sound and Controlled Bass, Enhanced Wearing Comfort, for Music, Work and Gaming – incl. 1.80 m Cable, Drawstring Bag – Copper Edition - Fosi Audio DS2 USB C to AUX Headphone Amp DAC Dongle 3.5mm Jack Audio Portable Amplifier Dual Output DSD256 4.4mm Balanced High Resolution CS43131 for iPhone 15 Pro Max Plus iPad Android Phone - Apple USB-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/698567430-hd-505-wired-open-back-audiophile-headphones](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/698567430-hd-505-wired-open-back-audiophile-headphones) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
