When I was looking for a product to hide the many scratches that have appeared on my bumper, in front of the trunk on my Taurus, I read review after review. For this product, some folks had problems with adhesion, some not. I took a chance, figuring I could always buy my own if I had to. It has been on for over a week now, been rained on, been exposed to hot sun, and the car has been washed. Still holding tight. If you get this product, be sure to thoroughly clean the bumper surface (with a harsh cleaner like 409), then wipe it down with alcohol, and rub down the back side of the rubber protector with alcohol right before installing the adhesive tape. Getting the plastic cover off the other side of the adhesive tape is a little difficult, but keep picking at it - it eventually gives way. I like how easy it was to install, and I like the look of my bumper.

I was worried about this item when I purchased it because of the price. I thought: "How can it be that good, for such a low price?" Well, it is a good product, and the price is GREAT! I washed my car thoroughly, and measured everything out, placing painting masking tape along the boundaries this would work best, cut out the strips of tape, set them in place, then placed the bumper guard upon the tape, working the guard down firmly, from left to right... It was a simple, easy, effective, and good looking addition to my 2016 Mazda 6 i Touring sedan. I am VERY please with this product. It was delivered much earlier than expected, too! Bonus! I just put it on I haven't actually tested it yet to see how well it holds up it's flexible easy to install and looks good on my car. I transport people back and forth to the airport and with them taking their luggage out of my trunk they're scratched the paint on the rim so this works perfect so that doesn't happen again hopefully. Again I have not tested it to see how well it will hold up. The tape that came with it is not enough just like everybody else is saying it's just not enough I was just a little bit short because I wanted to put some on the sides to so there was no Gap. But the tape doesn't seem to be that strong in my opinion to it will remain in place time will tell and people pulling their luggage across that will tell. At this point without testing it out I'm happy with it I'm going to go out and buy more tape for it and if anything goes wrong with it I'll give you another review Okay after driving with it on there today with the tape they provide on the sides so I went out and purchased my own double-sided tape which is way better than what they provide. So my suggestion to you would be if you order this product by your own double-sided tape and don't even use the cheap crap they send because this is very weak. And now that it's on with the tape that I have used it sticking well not moving and it will serve its purpose. ***** An update--- after using this for several days due to the weather it's actually coming off on the edges even with the new double-sided tape that I bought and put on there so it's not sticking very well if I would have known that I wouldn't put that on my car I thought it would hear and stick to the car and stay put for a long time. Right now it's serving its purpose

Great product

Got tricked into the 'thousands' of reviews and the 4 star rating, and the price. The protector itself fits well and I like the material BUT the adhesive tape is a total joke. Hence, I returned protector and tape for a refund, do not even want to take a chance on a replacement. I wasted 30 min trying to get the red tape of the adhesive after putting it on the protector. If I was able occasionally it left a mess on the protector i.e. it was clumping. The adhesive itself did not seem very strong at all for the couple of pieces I was able to get the red tape of. Not sure if that is in general just a bad tape ... hence the low price ... or if I just got 'lucky' and ended up getting 'old inventory'. Saying that because when I received the product it was not even separately packaged jut put into an Amazon shipping back. The adhesive tape had instructions that were totally 'washed out' and I could not even read a single line on it. If you ordered this and got tape that worked this might actually work. I give it one more try and order a different brand. Maybe I am lucky this time ... though it seems that all these product seem to have some issues with the adhesive tape. We shall see.

I rarely write bad reviews, but this one proved to me that sometimes it's best to get the product that was intended for the specific use. If the size matched the straight part of my bumper without curves, it would have worked. But I could not get it to curve along the lines of my Honda Fit. I know it's a small car, but I would also assume that such a flexible, rubbery stripe could also be manipulated a bit. Not for me, but I'm only out $16.

I just returned a different bumper protector because it had too many steps for installation. To install this one you simply find the center spot of your bumper and center the protector at that spot (there is an arrow on the protector at its center for that purpose.) Peel the backing off the back of the bumper protector one half at a time and press. Be careful, there is no "do over." Just take your time. You can use masking tape to help you align the protector properly. Make sure the bumper is clean. I like this one so much that I'm ordering another one for my other car. Other bumper protectors require you to use automobile adhesive tape, a hair dryer to heat the bumper after installation to aid adhesion, etc. I've had this on my car for six months and it looks new. I've also washed my car many times and the adhesion is like new.
