The bulb has a tubular shape and encompasses 20 LEDs on the end, and 14 strips of 7 around the circumference - this is why it emits such a large amount of light. It is equipped with a large E27 Edison screw fitting.The bulb produces an enormous amount of cool white light, equivalent to 150W, whilst only using 35W of power. There is also no 'warming up' period so the effects are instant!! :) :)The bulb has a lifetime of up to 35000 hours so it really does pay for itself!!! Lovely warm but very bright light, and the lightbulb is so huge that you seriously can't miss it.I was also pleased to see that this is one of the much better quality safe versions of these corn bulbs - cheaper ones often have the little metal LEDs exposed, and if you accidentally screw them in while the lightswitch is on, you can get a bad electric shock.
