Bought this because one of the ranges I frequent insists upon empty chamber indicators in any firearm brought to the range. They are a good idea, but as with any safety device, even when in place, you should treat the firearm as a loaded weapon. Bought one for my .40 S&W and one for my AR-15 in 5.56 NATO. Good price and they arrived very quickly through UPS.
