My only regret is I am 42 years old and wish I had used this a lot sooner. I have very heavy periods and did not feel comfortable using it without a pad too. I didn't experience much leakage, but on my heaviest days, I am glad I had the pad. Now after doing more research I have discovered reusable menstrual pads! Plan to try those out next time. I am so happy about not having to buy disposable products anymore...less money (in the long run), less waste and better for your body. I have read several places that after a few uses of the cup and/or reusable menstrual pads, people have shorter cycles, with less cramping and clotting and reduced blood amount.
