I didn't like how the smell developed, but it went on okay. **Q: Does it wash off when you bath** A: No, it does not wash off. You put the lotion on and leave it on for a few hours (I leave it overnight) and it develops a really beautiful golden tan colour. It does not come off on your sheets either and it lasts a long time. It also wears off very well and not patchy. At first it just smells like a nice lotion but after a couple of hours you do get the fake tan smell, so you have to shower before going out to get rid of the smell. For me it took overnight to develop rather than just a couple of hours and was more subtle than I thought from reviews. It darkened best in the bits that had already caught a bit of sun, but was very subtle on the pale bits. It’ll need building up. It gives quite a smooth finish, the only patchy bits where were I had a bit of peeling skin due to sun burn a few weeks ago, so not the fault of the cream.
