## Description

The Luminos series eyepieces offer a wide 82º field of view in both high power and low power models, allowing you to make the most of your telescope whether you own a short fast refractor or a Celestron EdgeHD telescope. The optical set consists of six or seven elements (depending on the model) and is fully multi-coated for crisp, sharp views. All six Luminos eyepieces are parfocal, which means you can switch out eyepieces during observing sessions with little or no additional focusing required. The Luminos eyepiece body is made of polished and anodized aluminum. A rubber grip runs around the equator of the eyepiece, giving you a secure grip and an easy method for raising and lowering the retractable eyecup. Simply twist the rubber grip to adjust the height of the eyecup. The insert barrel is threaded to accept filters.

Review: These EyePieces OPEN UP THE SKY to Stellar Levels - I PURCHASED THE 7mm, 10mm, 15mm And i use them with 2 different Newtonian Telescopes: I was Gifted a Celestron 76mm Newtonian Telescope by my Wife, and it came with 2 Celestron Plossl EyePieces 10 & 20mm... Passion took over and shortly after i got my hands on another Newtonian Telescope, 150mm that came with a 25mm Kellner Eyepiece. STARGAZING LIFE CHANGING MOMENT: My Brother gifted me a LUMINOS 10mm EyePiece and i got hooked! These EyePieces give you a really wide field of view and rise brightness to another level. My 2 Telescopes have 700mm and 750mm Focal Lenght, so very similar, but they are very different in Diameter, Double to be precise, so one is an F10 and the other is an F5, yet these EyePieces made me see the sky a whole other way with both! Some people complain that the Luminos are affected by Edge Of Field Brightness, but i noticed a bit of that only when i am in areas with Blue Light Pollution... I'd say it's a professional Defect: these EyePieces are all about Bringing Luminosity to your Eye, and that's exactly what they do. If i am in a darker area, i don't see any Bright Ring around my Focal View and the views are beyond Fantastic, they really opened up the Sky for me. As the name suggest, these LUMINOS Eyepieces bring out the Luminescence of the sky; so beware if you try watching the Moon... You may need SunGlasses. ... Well, better use a proper filter. The Eye Releif is very comfortable, i can easily move my head around a bit, and still see the object i am observing, which is quite a great feature since far Planets tend to move very quickly. I should note I don't have an Electronic Mount, so i have to manually re-adjust the Tripod periodically... with the other Eye pieces i had to do it every few seconds, with these LUMINOS i get a couple of mins of good view before i have to re-adjust... quite a nice trait. The adjustable EyeCups make it easy to re-find the proper head position after each re-adjustment, and i find it a comfy feature. But BEWARE: these EyePieces are HEAVY, very HEAVY, so you will need to adjust the DoveTail to compensate for it, or maybe you'll have to put other CounterWeights, especially if you are using a Barlow too. With the Wide Field, i can place Jupiter, or Saturn in the edge of the view, and it takes a good couple of minutes, or even more, before it crosses over the whole Field of View, giving me all rhe time needed to focus and get a good view if the passing object. There is a slight Aberration towards the edge view when i use it with my 150mm F5 Telescope, but it didn't borher me, and to be fair: I corrected that by applying a 2X Barlow Lens. And man! at that point you might as well be walking on the Moon. I loved the LUMINOS 10mm so much, that i ended up buying the 15mm and later on even the 7mm, so now i have all the 3 LUMINOS Eyepieces in the 1,25" Barrel size. These EyePieces are a bit Expensive, yet so far i found them to be worth the investment and i am enjoying them a whole lot. Do not expect the view quality of a higher priced eye piece like a Pentax or a Televue... but we are talking about completely different price ranges. I believe in this Mid Price Range, this is the best you can find. Make sure you buy a good case for them, they come only with a Foamy Box and it doesn't hold them very tight, so you will need a proper case to keep em safe... I bought myself a case where i could safely put them together (in picture) I hope you'll find this Helpful
Review: Was looking for an Eyepiece for my new telescope. - This is a great Eyepiece. On my ZWO ff107 I get 107x magnification. Price was very good.
