Straws have been demonised in the press recently but it's not the straw itself that is the problem but the wastage caused by single-use plastic. These bamboo straws are the perfect alternative; they are very smooth and feel nice to use, and in the box they rattle like pencils. They are strong and stiff like pencils too. I've used my first one for about a week and it's still going strong, so I expect it will last a lot longer, but if it does break (or get too dirty) I'll just toss it in the compost guilt-free. I expect this box of a dozen will last at least a year if not longer, so in the long run will probably work out cheaper than buying single use paper straws (which usually come in plastic packaging). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant Straws *by D***L on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 July 2019* Took these straws on a tour of Asia for 3 months and they worked a treat - they wash easily, dry quickly and do not hold on to odours from previous drinks at all. They work for all drinks including milkshakes - highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks good does good *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 July 2018* These look amazing! I love the quality of them and how you can reuse them whenever you want, easy to clean and they look amazing also! Definitely a keeper and great because its environmental friendly --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/68044187-help-the-earth-bambae-12-premium-20cm-bamboo-straws-free](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/68044187-help-the-earth-bambae-12-premium-20cm-bamboo-straws-free) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
