**Q: What material is the actual globe made from?, is this also timber. Thanks people, Cam**
A: Hi there. The globe ball itself is made from a thick black "acrylic-like" plastic. The map is traditional strips of paper called "gores" which are laid on top. The furniture part of the globe is solid hardwood legs and central posts. The base, equator ring and wooden bottle holder are made from veneered wood which is finished such that any drink spillages are easily wiped clean.

**Q: does it arrive fully assembled**
A: No, you have to assemble it yourself, but it's fairly easy

**Q: Did it arrive ready made? Not flat packed?**
A: Some simple assembly required.

**Q: can you use furniture polish on this?**
A: I have used polish on the woodwork only. The spinning globe have only dusted.
