    Working well after 19 months

I bought this on 4th October 17..so 19 months later it is still working well.Zero issues.Had it working with BT Hub 5, then Fritz!box 3490 and now a HomeHub 6.I live rural so do get the odd loss of power, maybe more than most even for a few seconds so this little unit has kept my fibre connection active during Netflix sessions and my sons online gaming session where loss of modem connection would be a disaster! I also use a few BIG UPS for the consoles .PC's but this little unit is ideal for a standard ISP modem/router,Very discreet in small hallway.Just make sure you buy this UPS with the adaptor kit, you will need it.Unit does not get hot at all. This has saved my router from multiple reboots which is a very good thing as too many reboots may cause issues and possibly in worst cases lead to a lower broadband speed.

    Does exactly what I want.

I use this to provide back-up power to my BT Smart Hub 2 router. I already have a conventional CyberPower UPS that provides back-up power to my iMac and Synology NAS; we suffer from occasional power outages locally and the CyberPower UPS provides around 30-45 minutes of use - this is usually enough time to get through the outage without stopping work, and if the outage is longer then the Mac will do a controlled shut-down and save the work. However the router is in a different room ant isn't powered from the CyberPower UPS, so during an outage I immediately lose my internet connection. The Power Inspired UPS gives me 30-40 minutes of Router operation, so maintains Internet connection during short outages; this also allows me to maintain WiFi calling on my iPhone (we have poor cell phone connectivity in my location), and also means on-line synchronisation can be completed before shut-down.Good value for money, but don't overestimate the run time you'll get from the device

    Beware!

First supplied UPS via Amazon arrived faulty, dead as a dodo! Received refund, thanks Amazon. Re-ordered via Power Inspired's website, second UPS arrived in bits with electronic board & wires hanging out of plastic casing! I was informed that the UPS's are sourced from China, my view is there is a quality control issue both in the manufacturing plus a lack of quality control at Power Inspired's depot/offices in the UK.After numerous e-mails & phone calls eventually got to speak with a director of Power Inspired. I also took issue with the quoted typical run times posted on their web site - 120 mins for a 1.5amp rated router. To cut a long story short & after thoroughly testing the Power Inspired typical run time claims I found my EE supplied 1.5amp router's current draw was 0.87amps & the actual run time (power supplied by battery when disconnected from mains was well less than 50% of that quoted as "typical". Even the You Tube reviewer, was taken in by the well over exaggerated typical run time claims. Please note, the quoted typical run times are wildly exaggerated & in my opinion contravene the UK's Trade Descriptions.I asked the Power Inspired director where the typical run time quoted values were sourced from but instead I got a load of marketing waffle about how good Power Inspired was & I felt that I was simply considered a nuisance for asking what I believe to be a legitimate question which still remains unanswered. I also asked what routers Power Inspired had tested themselves, again the direct clear repeated question was ignored / side swiped in preference to informing me how reputable Power Inspired was. When a supplier/manufacturer repeatedly refuses to answer a poignant legitimate question on a key aspect of an item, in this case a UPS designed to keep a router up & running for a long a period as feasble, then I ask myself why?So, to summarise, received 2 faulty UPS's (1 non working, other in bits), a refusal from a Power Inspired director to provide sourcing or testing information on Power Inspired's widely inflated typical run times of the UPS along with an attitude that they know best or at least better than this customer. Although repeatedly requested at director level, no evidence of typical run times was ever provided by Power Inspired to substantiate their claims.I had expected much better from a UK company.Update - my Father-in-Law has a Talktalk supplied router & a neighbour has a BT supplied router, I will be testing the actual current draw on both & measuring their mains power off actual run times. Once I've got the data collated I will update this review with the findings.Further update - I've now carried out the current draw test on both the Talktalk & BT supplied routers with the following results (each tested for a duration of 3 hours +):Actual run times - Talktalk - 0.68 amps; BT Home Hub - 0.89 amps, EE (mine) 0.87. Average between the 3 routers 0.81 amps. Based on these 3 supplied routers by mainstream large market share ISPs the Power Inspired UPS would NOT provide power for the quoted typical run time of 120 mins on a 1.5 amp designated router, the actuals clearly demonstrate that the measured run times are less than half of that quoted on Power Inspired's web site!Apologies for those of you who have read this lengthy detailed review but, as you've guessed, I don't like manufactures making unsubstantiated claims in order to sell more units, especially when their claims are not even close to the actuals & refuse to offer any substantiation when asked (at Director level!).
