Although our Playmate cooler is as retro as it gets (it first came out in 1971!), we decided to put an ‘80s/’90s spin on it and came up with the Retro Playmate Mini! The most excellent personal cooler — rad colors, rad Playmate design. Just throw in your fave drink, swivel it shut and you’re ready for a retro good time.

Review: great little portable cooler for a one or 2 person day trip. - igloo never fails to impress, even in this small little cooler. I like to have nice cold water when I am sitting in for a long gaming session to stay hydrated, and what I like to do, is freeze a couple bottles of it, and use this as "ice packing" and place a couple unfrozen bottles on top to keep them nice and cold. By the time I finish the unfrozen bottles the ones underneath are just starting to melt, so I get super ice cold water once I start tapping into those. I like that it is so small, as it doesn't take up a lot of space in my room, and it has a nice sleek design making it look attractive. the handle is nice and sturdy and te built in locking mechanism allows for secure transportation. The way I use it, I don't really have to worry about it leaking, though, I suspect if you had regular ice in there, it MAY leak a bit if tipped over. Overall though, the functionality of this little cooler is top notch, and seems to be able to fit in most hiking backpacks if needed.

igloo never fails to impress, even in this small little cooler. I like to have nice cold water when I am sitting in for a long gaming session to stay hydrated, and what I like to do, is freeze a couple bottles of it, and use this as "ice packing" and place a couple unfrozen bottles on top to keep them nice and cold.
