Review: The quality of the lighting is very delightful. - We really like these lights a lot. The color is very warming and we love the fact there’s no remote control to change batteries in all the time. Plug this one in when you want the lights on and unplug it when you don’t.
Review: Very happy but some of the lights suddenly don't work. - For a small apartment porch these are perfect. Did not use the hangers, shaped the rope around the flowerpots and door lintel along the floor and outlined the railing. Gives a nice subtle light and the dimmer is great. The remote allows me to operate lights (opening the door) without having to go outside and there's a color for every mood. The rope is nice and flexible, I used a few zip ties to mount it to a railing. Very pleased . Update: all of a sudden sections of blue lights don't work. One section came back on, all the other LEDs work but without blue the colors are messed up, too.

**Q: Do I have to reset the color I want every time I turn the lights on or does it remember the last setting?**
A: Mine remembers the last color setting & brightness. After turning off, then back on, it's always the same color that I had on before turning it off. And if I had a color changing pattern on, then turn off, it also remembers that setting when I turn it back on again. And I like that for single colors, if I change the brightness for 1 or more colors. it will also remember those brightness settings. The person who said theirs always starts on red is likely using a color changing setting not a single color, mine does that also for color changing, starts on red, but for single colors it remembers those. Example; Had solid green on last, then turn off, turn back on and you'll have green again.

**Q: Are these lights two sided, can you see the lights from either side?**
A: no

**Q: can you cut the light strip? I only need one foot**
A: Dear, thank you for your question.  This rope lights consists of 5 parallel units, 3.28 feet each. It can only be cut from the junction of two units, so the shortest is 3.28 feet, not 1 foot. And only the one with male plug can be used, and the other one cannot. This leads to waste and not waterproof. Do not recommend cutting. You'd better buy other products that can be cut.

We've had seasonal lights hanging from the eaves of our home for many years, but the traditional mini lights always seemed to fail after some years. We decided to try the LED light system and found the multi-color LED rope lights. The plan was for the lights to serve as 'holiday' lights (green, red, orange, etc.) for those occasions but also as a form of security lighting for the front of the house during the rest of the year (white lights). I've installed them as indirect lighting under the eaves and it creates a nice affect. I have them set on a dawn/dusk light sensor timer and they work great. I appreciate the lights even have some dimming capacity. I've connected four sets together (max recommended) and it serves our needs (~60ft). I would like to note that when I initially installed the four lengths together I found only the first two worked correctly and was afraid the lighting controller could only handle/power two lengths. I contacted customer service (via email) with the issue and they were very helpful with troubleshooting the problem. It took some back and forth emails, but it turned out the third length had a faulty connector. They quickly sent a replacement. We've enjoyed the multi-light options for the winter holiday and have even changed the colors on the occasions to show support for our sport teams ... kinda fun.
