The narrower markers will slide right in and may be a little loose. The elastic band is stretchy so the bigger markers will fit, but you have to stretch out the band and push it in and it stays snug. **Q: Will it actually fit 9 X 12 inch artwork, or is the opening just a bit smaller?** A: You shouldn't have any issue fitting that size artwork. The pocket's width is actually a little larger than 9in and the length is 12in plus another inch on top for the eyelet and elastic tab. **Q: Is it easy to wipe off dry erase markers? I made a letter tracing worksheet for my daughter, and she loves using it in the pocket. I chose these because of the pen loop, because they are the correct size to hold a sheet of construction paper (they do!), and because they appeared to be the best made among the products I looked at. The pen loop is great, and they are very well made. Before ordering, I emailed the company to verify that the PVC is lead-free, and they verified that the product is lead-free. My only complaint is that it can be kind of difficult to slip the piece of paper in, but I'm sure it will get easier with time. (I'm also sure that this is common among products of this variety.) I look forward to getting a lot of use out of these!Update: We have been using these for around three years now and they have held up very well! We get so much use out of them.
