The first thing that I noticed was that the flame in the fireplace did not appear to be as high as it had been in the past on the same levels. But I thought maybe I could be wrong. Then I tried decided to test the module with the battery pack backup. I installed new batteries and tried the manual switch but noting. I then tried the remote with the battery backup and still nothing. I tried several times and made sure all settings and switches were correct, checked fuses etc. but was never able to get it to work with the battery backup so I returned the module.
