## Description

Tapel Black Liquid Rubber Waterproof Coating - 3X Stronger Sealant for Foundation, Pond & Roof Repair - Heavy Duty Elastomeric Membrane for Concrete, Metal & Wood - UV Resistant & Body Safe - 1 Quart: desertcart.com: Tools & Home Improvement

Review: Thin coats are best - I love this coating rubber but a thick coat takes forever to dry, especially if a careless husband plops a soaking wet dog bed in the bottom of the tub I just coated! It dried nicely as the first thin coat but the second heavier coat is impossible to smooth out if it is “used” without curing. It does not sand well to recover. Be vigilant.
Review: Worked great for my application - Used this around the roof rack of an 05 Mazda tribute that had started leaking. Has held up great for over 6 months, and it's tough to see unless you're super close..

## Features

- ✔【POND & GARDEN SAFE FORMULA】 Unlike harsh asphalt-based products, Tapel’s eco-conscious, water-based formula is VOC-free and safe for ponds, fountains, and planter boxes. Once cured, it creates a non-toxic barrier that protects your aquatic life and plants.
- ✔【ULTIMATE FOUNDATION & ROOF SEAL】 Stop leaks before they start. Our heavy-duty black elastomeric membrane provides a seamless shield for basement foundations, retaining walls, and flat roofs. It stretches with your structure to prevent cracks from reappearing.
- ✔【3X STRONGER ADHESION & DURABILITY】 Engineered for maximum grip, this coating bonds instantly to concrete, metal, wood, and EPDM. It is 3X stronger than standard sealants, resisting peeling even under continuous water submersion or extreme weather.
- ✔【WEATHERPROOF & UV PROTECTION】 Built to withstand the toughest elements. From freezing winters (-40°F) to scorching summers (248°F), our UV-resistant black finish won't degrade, melt, or crack, ensuring long-term protection for all outdoor structures.
- ✔【EASY APPLICATION & SELF-LEVELING】 Save time with a professional-grade finish. The self-leveling formula applies smoothly with a brush, roller, or high-quality sprayer. Tack-free in 2 hours, making it the efficient choice for DIY and industrial leak repairs.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thin coats are best

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked great for my application
*by J***7 on September 28, 2025*

Used this around the roof rack of an 05 Mazda tribute that had started leaking. Has held up great for over 6 months, and it's tough to see unless you're super close..

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Multi-use use
*by D***R on October 22, 2024*

Certainly is multiple purpose ... I'm using it with our gutters where two sections join and provide a constant flow of water in the downpours. It's not a thick coating when applied, so don't expect it to fill huge voids in a single application. A little pre-work, to minimize the leak and coating with this should do the job. And I've used it in an un-conventional way, by coating an old wooden ladder that I frequently use - but gives some terrible splinters. Sanded down the ladder, and then coated it with the sealant (2x). The coating creates a nice feel when carrying the ladder, as well as tempered some of the rougher spots. It was applied easily with a brush. Leaves sort of an opaque white appearance on the ladder, but not sure who would use this and assume the result to be otherwise. In both of my uses, I actually can't yet speak to the waterproof (or splinter reducing results) ... but with the CA rainy season almost here, and with Christmas coming, between getting boxes out of the rafters, and hanging lights, I should be able to get a pretty good assessment of how this worked out ... I'm hoping for no dripping gutters, and a splinter / pain free use of the ladder.
