Review: Nice wide view, wish drill bit was slightly longer - I chose this particular item because it included the type of drill bit that would be needed for installation. Even though I only had an old fashioned manual drill, the bit easily penetrated my fiberglass door but could not cut all the way through. It did at least make a tiny hole on the other side of the door, which I then used to aline the bit to drill through toward the first hole. If the drill bit was about a half inch longer it would be perfect. Once the hole was made, it was very simple to insert each half of the device and screw together. The lens gives a nice wide angle view of the outside. I don’t really see the need for an interior cover for the peep hole since it’s impossible to see through from the exterior side, but I suppose some people would like it. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase. It looks nice from both sides and seems well made. I feel much more secure now to see who’s at the door before opening.

I chose this particular item because it included the type of drill bit that would be needed for installation. Even though I only had an old fashioned manual drill, the bit easily penetrated my fiberglass door but could not cut all the way through. It did at least make a tiny hole on the other side of the door, which I then used to aline the bit to drill through toward the first hole. If the drill bit was about a half inch longer it would be perfect. Once the hole was made, it was very simple to insert each half of the device and screw together. The lens gives a nice wide angle view of the outside. I don’t really see the need for an interior cover for the peep hole since it’s impossible to see through from the exterior side, but I suppose some people would like it. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase. It looks nice from both sides and seems well made. I feel much more secure now to see who’s at the door before opening.
