This little device has been so much fun to play with ever since I got it. I strongly recommend you purchase it with Onion OS. I do believe that is the better of the two operating systems. The device comes with a Micro SD to USB reader as well as a Micro SD card already in the unit, so there is no need to purchase another one. However I did find after cloning the OS to a new Micro SD card from a more reputable brand that I did get slightly better performance.For people stating that it does not work or they are having issues getting certain games onto it, please remember that you will need to provide your own roms for many of the games you want to play. There are a lot of way to do that legally if you Google it.Anyway, great little device. Strong recommend if you want some simple portable gaming and to feel like a kid again in the 90s.

Fantastic little emulator. Super fun, very easy to set up, and very customizable.I bought this to play some old favorites and I didn't like playing on my phone, so I found this and got it. I had it shipped with OnionOS, and I would recommend anyone do the same or get it installed. I also recommend getting another SD card, but so far the generic one it came with hasn't caused me trouble. The build quality is pretty good, I've seen some defective ones but that seems to be uncommon. The buttons are accurate and feels good, the screen is high quality and you can configure the colors to get the retro-vibe dialed in, and all of my games so far have worked very well. Features like the game switcher and WIFI connectivity is a plus, and the battery life is great too. It ships with a ton of games, most I removed though and a lot didn't work (not a problem for me honestly). One con I can think of is the size of the console is still a bit small despite this being the plus version. I could see people's hands cramping after a while, but at that point you should just take a break and go outside. The thing autosaves when you power it off anyway. Overall, great for anyone who have a basic understanding of computers and who like to tinker around with stuff. I'll update my review if something comes up.

Overall, great handheld. Screen is crisp and bright. The buttons and d-pad have that nice retro feel. Great for pulling off those special moves, with no false diagonals when crouching. Games (up to PS1) run silky smooth. Battery lasted me 5.5 hrs on my first use. The included glass protector and case are quality add-ons.The included SD card reader is s-l-o-w. The SD card and the ROMs on it are of poor quality. Not all games work with OnionOS My recommendation is to replace the SD card with one from a reputable brand like, Sandisk, Samsung, Kingston,etc. Then install OnionOS on the new card and source a fully working set of ROMs yourself. Joey' Retro Handhelds & Retro Game Corps are two Great YouTube channels that can help you with this.OnionOS is awesome. Easy to use but with way more options than the stock OS. The OS is opensource and updated regularly.

This thing is a video game miracle of modern science- you can now have every single old game in your pocket 🤯. There is definitely a learning curve with how to use it, interface and saving your game progress (makes all the ridicously hard games less frustrating). Also adding games at first can be tricky. But reddit and YouTube are your friend here, you can find detailed instructions and help on every aspect. Just do yourself a favor and buy it, more than worth the $, honestly the best thing I have ever bought myself.

I don't really leave reviews on amazon very often, but THIS IS THE BEST $50 I'VE EVER SPENT.I'm still using the standard SD Card that came with the miyoo mini and i've had no issues. i've probably already added/removed 100+ games using the SD card/reader it came with.Maybe i'm lucky or maybe eventually i will run into issues , but it's all worked great so far.my only con would be how small it is.... I had read lots of that before purchasing. thinking of buying a controller grip thingy , but i'm not sure ..... BUY IT FELLAS

As with so many electronics that come out of China, the product that you think you're getting isn't actually the product that you're going to receive. While it looks the same on the outside, the software that comes loaded is completely different than pictured and shown in other reviews. I received a console that was basically empty, short of a few generic games and some Sega games, all which look like total garbage on screen. Gameplay was very slow, and all in all, I didn't find this thing worth it. I wanted to play some retro NES and SNES games, but given what I've seen from the Sega emulator, I'm not even going to bother.
