You have to do a somewhat awkward two-handed thing if you want to retain your mag but it might just take some getting used to compared to the standard release where you use the same hand to actuate the release and grab the mag. Seems to be the same design and shape as similar items by specialty US-based companies like Kidd which somehow cost 5X more and are a pain to import into Canada. Quality seems totally adequate.
