Mounted mine so is easily removed when moving. When we purchased a home in Georgia, we weren't sure what to expect. Well, it turns out the water is ORANGE and smells awful. The home had an existing filter system, but we couldn't find replacement filters, so we went ahead and ordered the Iron and Manganese system from Express Water. We ended up finding replacement filters left behind by the prior owner, so we went ahead and replaced the filters without replacing the water system. No change. Toilets, dishes, clothing.. all coated in an orange tint :( I've been cleaning toilets daily and the build-up just comes right back! We installed the new system not expecting any change because we read online that filters do not filter out Ferrous Iron (dissolved iron) and that we would need an expensive home treatment system. Wellllll, I'm happy to report that the water is clear and no longer staining our toilets and the smell is gone. It felt great finally being able to shower in clear water. I was amazed that it worked after having read that it would not. Our sediment filter is already brown after 2 or 3 days of use, so I've ordered a few extra. I imagine it will be efficient for a lot longer but I'm glad those deposits are being collected by the filter and no longer landing in our appliances. It was easy to install. Heavy enough that it felt like quality equipment but not so heavy and bulky that it was hard to install. Our other system has been in for 3-4 months and seems to be working great. I'm VERY happy with this system and will report back in a few months!
