**Q: For one decent cup of cofee, how many seconds should I grind coffee beans if I want to use it in (a) cafetier (b) espresso machine**
A: It really depends on what gear you're using, but from my own experience, it is about 10-15 seconds for a coarse grind and around 25 for an espresso-fine grind. This varied with the bean. For a pretty decent espresso, I had about 11g of coffee ground at 26 seconds.

**Q: can you adjust the fineness of the grind**
A: No,the longer you grind the finest it gets. Very good grinder for herbs indeed. I use mine to grind red peper flakes into paprika. I also make icing powder,grinds to dust.

**Q: Can I grind grains with this ?**
A: I use my Krups twin blade grinder for grinding coffee and also for a mix of sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, flax and hemp seeds. Hemp seeds are very hard. I guess it would also work with grains but if you wanted to grind large quantities, eg for bread, it would be tedious as it only does about 3 tablespoonsful at a time.

**Q: Guys on the bodybuilding forums are recommending using a coffee grinder for grinding down oats, would this be efficient at grinding small items?**
A: Might not be the "Grinder" the guys on the body building scene are looking for.

I’ve been using the KRUPS F2034238 Coffee Mill and Spice Grinder for a few weeks now, mainly for coffee beans but also occasionally for spices, and overall it’s a solid little machine that does exactly what it promises. The one-touch operation is genuinely convenient. You just press the lid and it starts grinding, which makes it quick and intuitive to use first thing in the morning. The grind consistency is good for drip coffee, moka pot and French press, though like most blade grinders it’s not ideal if you’re chasing ultra-precise espresso grinds. That said, for everyday home use, it’s more than adequate. Capacity-wise, it comfortably handles enough beans for several cups at once. I usually grind enough for 2–4 cups, and it does this easily without struggling. The motor feels powerful for its size, and grinding is fast — usually done in under 15 seconds. Build quality feels decent for the price. It’s lightweight but doesn’t feel flimsy, and the lid locks securely in place. Cleaning is straightforward too; a quick brush or wipe is usually enough, though I do wish the grinding cup was removable to make cleaning even easier.
