This kit contains pretty much everything but the hair dryer needed to open it. It is actually a bonus if your OG battery has started to swell as it makes it MUCH easier to remove the back from the phone. If not, the process is a lot more difficult, as trying to save the original thin double-sided tape becomes more difficult without that inner pressure helping to remove the back plate. It's nearly impossible to separate the back and keep the entire tape perfectly intact, which means whatever waterproofing this phone had - it won't have anymore, not that you should be testing waterproofability anyway. Only take on this task when you have ample time and no distractions and it should go fine. This TQTHL battery may or not be as good as a brand new Samsung battery (as I don't have another to compare against), but it most definitely is better than a very old and worn out Samsung battery. I wouldn't recommending taping the new battery into place though, as it fits snug enough and was just a pain to remove - should make battery replacement easier in the future. Review: This is going to be more difficult than it looks unless you've done it before - My advice? If you need your Note 9 battery replaced, take it to a shop that can do it for you. This kit had the right pieces, and the video explained what to do, but opening the Note 9 requires heating it up to the temperature of boiling water in order to loosen the glue. Can you destroy your phone by heating it with the wrong tools? Yes you can. Anyway, I couldn't get my phone open, so I took it to a shop, and they fixed it, but they wouldn't use the battery supplied in this kit, so the kit wasn't useful to me. Of course now that a professional has loosened the glue, I can pop the phone apart myself, and hey, I have a spare battery, so I'm keeping the kit in case of that eventuality. YMMV.
