They look nice and filter a little better than the factory steel mesh filters. They are probably not the best for filtering. I went ahead and sealed them with ulrablack rtv around where the rubber meets the filter. You will want to carefully trim the inside of the rubber boots where they will restrict airflow to the small ports in the carbs. I wouldn't use these on a bike that gets ridden on dirt or in heavy rain but for my needs they work pretty great. If you are switching from an air box to these you will want to up your jets 1 size maybe 2. I went up 4 jet sizes because I also put on a free flowing exhaust.
