The idea being that they charge during the day and at night illuminate the edges of the room. The lights arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. They turned on immediately when I turned the switch on. The light lasted for several hours. The lights blend in perfectly with my wall wash landscape lights and add so much interest to our the front of our home during the evening hours. The lights charged very quickly which was an initial concern because the area gets a mix of bright sun and shade during the daytime hours. I purchased three packs of four lights and will likely get more for placement on my deck.
