It is industrial strength. I will keep these switches for use with another future project that will require a strong switch. After a few more pressing of the lever almost no clicking sound can be heard at each pressing but a weak sound is heard each time the lever is released. It seems that the unit is using poor springs or metallic elements that bend by the force of clicking and compromise the performance. This is supposed to be a 15 amp switch and as such it needs relatively high contact pressure, but it seems that the contact pressure becomes very weak after a few operations which would result in melting/oxidation of contact points in high current applications. Also one of the leads came lose upon soldering which failed the entire switch.
