Review: These are shipping with different drives in them. You'll get Something Name Brand Though - Mine came with an LG Drive in it. Just Use MakeMKV and use Google AI and you'll be ripping 4k Blu Ray Disks in No time. Another reviewer gave his specs of his drive that he used with MakeMKV and updated the firmware to Rip 4k UHD Disks with MakeMKV and my specs were totally different. Basically Mine came with earliest and easiest Firmware to update. It took 10 Minutes Google AI to get this going. You just need MakeMKV and google the latest license code. Enter the license Code and MakeMKV is activated. Then Google AI told me i needed the "All You Need Firmware Pack" from MakeMKV which had the file i needed and to download the "SDFtool Flasher (v1.3.6)" from MakeMKV to flash the firmware thats in the All You Need Firmware Pack and i was off and running. Google AI which is free btw incase you've been living under a rock. When you google something the top answer is Google AI and if you want to interact with it there's a text box underneath the answer it gave you. Google AI gives easy step by step actions on how to get these drives to Rip Blu Ray 4K UHD DVD's. It's actually kind of creepy. Then once you rip the DVD it'll be in MKV format which is fine but the file size is huge. Like 50GB-80GB so you'll want to use the free software HANDBRAKE to convert it down to about 15-20GB without losing the Pristine 4k Quality and Google AI will give step by step settings on how to do that. Again, totally awesome and totally creepy at the same time. I even showed it a screenshot of my Task Manager once HANDBRAKE started the conversion and Google AI read back the results to me in less than a second. CREEPY! There's also a video on youtube where a guy with an Irish Accent shows you how to do the same thing. Video is about 6 minutes long. The Title: "How to Flash LibreDrive Firmware | Step-by-Step Tutorial for 4K UHD Blu-ray Drives" I'd actually recommend watching this 1st. It'll make the whole process easier i think bc you see how the process works first.
Review: Misleading product description. - This does NOT do what it says it does in the description. It would not play 4k discs.... it would not even play Blu-ray. You have to download external software to use it. What happened to a finished product? I knew beforehand I would have to download the software.. did that. Still did not work. I tried for 45 minutes to get this to recognize ANY kind of disc and it would not work. desertcart needs to do a better job cracking down on mis-leading labels on products that DO NOT do what they say they do. Highly dissatisfied by this.

Mine came with an LG Drive in it. Just Use MakeMKV and use Google AI and you'll be ripping 4k Blu Ray Disks in No time. Another reviewer gave his specs of his drive that he used with MakeMKV and updated the firmware to Rip 4k UHD Disks with MakeMKV and my specs were totally different. Works fine. I made 150 recordings and still going strong. Reads 4K and all the other Blu-ray discs. I may get another just in case.
