I tried to set the bulb up in my bedroom which is on the first floor directly above the router(maybe 3m away) but it would not connect. I took the bulb downstairs and set it up in the actual room using a lamp in the room, maybe 2m from the router and it worked...seemed weird but once it was working I could add it to my Google Home setup ok.You can change the colours quite nicely and the dimming levels are good too. The default colour is a slightly off white, not blue or yellow exactly, but not too harsh.
