We got it for our garage which is less than 550sq feet, we’ve had it running for days and the garage temp has not changed. The unit barely blows out air even on the highest setting, barely cold even on the lowest temp at 61. desertcart won’t let you return it either. Should’ve read the reviews before purchasing but you’d think a 12,000 BTU window unit would be more than sufficient for our garage. Review: Must have a 220 line. - One year without a problem. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0D33TC2TS | | Additional Features | Electronic Control, Heat Mode, Energy Saver, On/Off Timer, Remote Control | | Best Sellers Rank | #17,099 in Amazon Renewed ( See Top 100 in Amazon Renewed ) #301 in Renewed Tools & Home Improvement #311 in Window Air Conditioners | | Brand Name | GE | | Capacity | 2 Pints | | Color | Light Cool Gray | | Compressor Type | rotary_scroll | | Control Method | Remote, Touch | | Controller Type | Remote Control | | Cooling Power | 12000 British Thermal Units | | Core Material | Copper | | Customer Reviews | 2.4 2.4 out of 5 stars (80) | | Efficiency | 11.22 btus/watt | | Floor Area | 550 Square Feet | | Form Factor | Window | | Included Components | GE Window Air Conditioner, EZ Intallation kit, Remote | | Installation Type | Window | | Inverter Type | No Inverter | | Is Outdoor Unit Required | No | | Is Product Cordless | No | | Item Weight | 93 Pounds | | Manufacturer | GE | | Model Name | GE AHE12DX | | Model Number | GE AHE12DX | | Number of Heating Elements | 1 | | Number of Power Levels | 9 | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Refrigerant | R 410A | | Room Type | Living Room | | UPC | 787790173625 | | Voltage | 230 Volts | | Warranty Description | 90 days limited warranty | | Warranty Type | 90 days limited warranty | | Wattage | 1070 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** GE - **Capacity:** 2 Pints - **Color:** Light Cool Gray - **Cooling Power:** 12000 British Thermal Units - **Form Factor:** Window - **Model Name:** GE AHE12DX - **Power Source:** Corded Electric - **Refrigerant:** R 410A - **Special Feature:** Electronic Control, Heat Mode, Energy Saver, On/Off Timer, Remote Control - **Voltage:** 230 Volts ## Images ![GE 230V 11,800 BTU Cooling/8,700 BTU Heating Electronic Heat/Cool Air Conditioner Cools 550 Sq Ft with 3 Cooling, Heating & Fan Speeds (Refurbished) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/712SfDQOFsL.jpg) ![GE 230V 11,800 BTU Cooling/8,700 BTU Heating Electronic Heat/Cool Air Conditioner Cools 550 Sq Ft with 3 Cooling, Heating & Fan Speeds (Refurbished) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71GVLXZjC5L.jpg) ![GE 230V 11,800 BTU Cooling/8,700 BTU Heating Electronic Heat/Cool Air Conditioner Cools 550 Sq Ft with 3 Cooling, Heating & Fan Speeds (Refurbished) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71J4UlLTdFL.jpg) ![GE 230V 11,800 BTU Cooling/8,700 BTU Heating Electronic Heat/Cool Air Conditioner Cools 550 Sq Ft with 3 Cooling, Heating & Fan Speeds (Refurbished) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71-mRoIK77L.jpg) ![GE 230V 11,800 BTU Cooling/8,700 BTU Heating Electronic Heat/Cool Air Conditioner Cools 550 Sq Ft with 3 Cooling, Heating & Fan Speeds (Refurbished) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71fEs8ypWKL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Awful, does not cool a room in the slightest *by E***L on July 10, 2024* Extremely disappointed in this AC unit.
