And although they work fine on 4 AA batteries, baby-monitor-style use really necessitates an AC adapter to keep them going without swapping batteries every few days. This adapter coincidentally (or maybe by common design?) is compatible with my NLS1 and NLS2 intercom units, in addition the myriad of Linksys routers it works with.Chamberlain does not include an AC adapter as part of the package and actually seems to make it very difficult to find what they consider an "optional accessory". The part number is nothing more than a footnote in the user's manual: 41B238 - 12V 300mA adapterIt's not sold on Chamberlain's own web site and the part number is regulated to generic, picture-less descriptions on less-prominent shopping web sites.This adapter has the correct size plug, proper polarity, and same voltage (12v). The only difference is the amperage that has 3x more headroom than needed (1000mA). That and it's labeled "Linksys" brand in small print - but who cares? While it's not the "official" part, it's been doing the job for 2 months now with no problems. ### ⭐ BUYER BEWARE!!! *by A***U on Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2012* I purchased this Power Supply on October 17, 2012 and arrived via air mail from Taichung City, Taiwan on November 5, 2012. The item is not new. It is a refurbished product. The outer casing is Linksys, but the inner parts are what is refurbished. The reason for this conclusion is: The Linksys case has numerous scuff marks from being used, the cord is 30" long (much shorter than other Linksys branded power supplies I currently have on hand), and the plugs on the unit are solid spade ones and have no holes (international version prongs vs. US prongs -- not what is pictured). The item arrived defective. Put item on Multimeter -- 0.88 volts output and not 12 volts!! Plugged into a router that is known to work -- of course no lights on router. I contacted the seller. I asked for a refund. Money was refunded. Seller's emails were prompt and they resolved my problem. This part of my experience was not too surprising --> their email said this: "You don't need to return this item". Overall, I would never have bought this in the first place if I would have known not a US Seller or that the item was refurbished.
