The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied.The valve is suitable for pressures of 0.5 - 12 bar (7 - 174 psi) and a maximum temperature of 130° C (266° F). The valve has a Kv-value of 5.1 m3/h, which translates to a flow rate of 85.02 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 5.9, which means 5.9 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For simple applications it is often enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter.
