Also, use warm water, which helps loosen wax. **Q: Can I use this for my two year old? Thanks** A: I have no idea but I wouldn’t risk it. A two year old’s ear might be quite delicate compared to an adult one and also the nozzle may be too large. I would get your nurse/doctor to do it. **Q: Do i have to put the oil in first and wait many weeks before i apply the syringe?** A: you should use the oil both morning and night for at least 3 days, then use tepid water to wash the ear out, you should carry on washing the ear out with the water until it runs clear. Both ears should be done. Hope this helps. Even reading the reviews I was still skeptical.I suffer from really runny waxy ears and although I know I shouldn’t I give them a clean with cotton buds every couple of weeks as If I don’t the wax just builds up into a yucky runny liquid.This time however I didn’t do my usual routine and left the cleaning of my ears for over 3 weeks, big mistake! I used my usual buds and the wax went straight down my ear drum and completely blocked it. All I could hear was muffled sounds in my right ear. It was very disconcerting and was affecting my balance. I had debated on going to the drs, but thought I’d give this kit a try first.The kit arrived next day on prime. The syringe and the bits that go into the ear were in a sealed bag and the olive oil was in a little bottle with a cellophane security seal. All very reassuring that nothing had been tampered with.I put some of the olive oil from the kit into my right ear as per the instructions which are very clear indeed (I ensured that I washed everything before use)Given how runny my ear wax is I didn’t really need the olive oil.I put the warm water in the syringe and did my left ear first. A couple of little bits came out and I must admit it did hurt almost like the popping you get in your ears on the decent of an airplane. I only did that side once.I then did the blocked one which I had to do twice and that hurt too, but I’m pleased to say my ear lugs are now clearI didn’t get any residue wax from what I could see, I guess due to the fact that my wax is the runny type there was nothing to see!What a result. I Will definitely be using the kit from now on.
