Review: The answer to my worn out patio door lock - This worked great on my sliding door. The old lock had worn through the door jam slot so that it would not lock. I would have had to change out the entire door jam to correct the problem, but his lock did the trick. It was very easy to install with a drill and the enclosed screws. Now the door is secured better than it was with the original lock.

We’ve been using a wood, 1 inch dowel as our “locking mechanism” which works but it’s ugly and a pain constantly having to bend down to pick it up and move it out of the way. This lock has solved the problem, we mounted it on the top of the slider so we just reach up and latch it in the area we want. It has 2 slots the lock will lock into securely.

This worked great on my sliding door. The old lock had worn through the door jam slot so that it would not lock.
